A bit of a quiet day today. We had a wet morning so hung around the villa until 3.
Linda discovered what seems to be the only jigsaw in the property, Friends… in black and white… tricky!
Linda and Sue then walked into Avlaki Beach with Phil and I following in the van a bit later.
The waiter at one of the two cafe/restaurants told us that Avlaki was now unusual for not being as heavily developed as most of the other beaches. He said though, that an American developer had bought 100 year lease to the far side of the beach. The locals had all been petitioning for the developer not to build a big resort on the land but he didn’t seem too hopeful that they’d be able to hold them off forever.
We then decided the weather was good enough to have a BBQ back at base, where we probably drank too much of a bottle of gin.
The weather’s not going to be great again in the morning, so we’ll be hibernating until the rain clears.
