It’s been a mixed weather day today. So we decided to head back to Corfu Town, do a bit of shopping and see some of the sites we missed yesterday.

But first we needed some breakfast and that was down in the local Agios Gordios town.

Beach front breakfast

Wherever you go in Greece, there are cats…

Then we headed into Corfu Town again. But we think that because it wasn’t exactly beach weather, everyone had the same idea and the roads were chocka. It took us over an hour to make a 25 minute journey.

But seeing as Corfu Parking 2 worked for us yesterday, we headed there again. And we were directed into exactly the same parking space.

We had coffee at the same cafe Sue and I had gone to yesterday, and dodged a couple of showers while we were there.

It was then a round of shoe shops looking for some sandals for Sue and general shoe shopping for Linda.

Then after only a few shops we managed to get separated from Linda. The other three headed off to the Old Fort area but it was an hour or so before we managed to all meet up again. And we decided to brave the queues for the fort and pay the €6 to enter.

We then decided to find somewhere to eat in Corfu Town rather than head home.

Sue found some sandals at a shop where the assistant was from Wollongong, and she recommended Rex as a restaurant.

This one might be a bit big

Rex was a good recommendation, we all enjoyed our food there.

Then back through the streets of Corfu Town back to the car, of course doing some more show shopping.

Tomorrow the weather is looking to be a lot better, so we’ll be staying around the apartment and Agios Gordios.
