It\u2019s wet. There\u2019s no getting over it\u2026 it\u2019s wet. We woke up to it having rained since 2 in the morning and the awning had taken on too much water\u2026 it had pooled and looked like it might have broken it\u2026 bugger!. We thought we had enough drainage angle, one side of the awning lowered, but it wasn\u2019t. Hopefully no damage done once the water drained out and we could see the awning material was hopefully going to return to its normal shape \ud83e\udd1e\ud83c\udffb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had packed the table, chairs and bikes the night before, knowing it would be grim to pack up with it peeing down. So it\u2019s just the front wrap around and the awning to pack away really.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once we\u2019d had a few breaks in the rain (just drizzling) we packed the rest of the bits away in turn and had a couple of coffees and a read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GrasselMuhle campiste was really good. Both owners were really friendly and in a quirky sort of way was clean and had everything we needed. Our spot was a bit too close to the thoroughfare to the loos but other than that it was great. We even had compliments for our \u201clong washing line\u201d \ud83e\udd37\u200d\u2642\ufe0f and for the Thule 3 bike tow-bar rack were rocking this trip (like every other trip for the past 15 years) \ud83e\udd23<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were heading to Lake Constance today as a bit of a break up of the route to Munich. We didn\u2019t see anything we fancied half way there so we both thought it would be good to see Lake Constance, so that\u2019s what we did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, we\u2019d agreed we\u2019d do a walk in the Black Forest on the way out if the area today, and even with the crappy weather we we determined to get a walk in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First up was the visitor centre in Ruhestein. It\u2019s a really swish centre but we decided it probably wasn\u2019t worth \u20ac8 to wander round, so we just had a coffee while waiting for the rain to ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were glad we stopped there actually as the woman in the Shop\/Info-centre suggested that we park in the southern car park when we got to Allerheiligen Waterfalls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So a 30 minute drive later down some very twisty roads and we got to the lower car park with hardly anyone there, and as it turned out we much preferred the walk up to the waterfalls and then back round, rather than staying at the northern car park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then off to Lake Constance. It was pretty wet all the way but probably not a bad day to be travelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were a bit early to hit the campsite, so went for a drive along the northern edge of the lake. Very impressive, and looking forward to driving along there again tomorrow when it\u2019s supposed to be a bit dryer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campsite (if you can call it that) is a deer farm that rents out a few spaces at the top of a hill. There\u2019s no loos or shower as such, though you can use both in the basement of the owners property. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The owners weren\u2019t around when we arrived so a very helpful German family called them and let them know we\u2019d arrived. Hopefully we\u2019ll find the owners before we leave!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did I also mention that it\u2019s been wet today, and camping in the clouds\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomorrow we\u2019ll drive around (past?) the lake and then on to our Best Western in Munich for 3 nights<\/p>\n\n\n\n
